CELLADOR Explains MADPOWER Festival Cancellation

October 23, 2006

Nebraska-based melodic metallers CELLADOR were forced to cancel their appearance at this past weekend's (Oct. 21) Madpower festival in Madison, Wisconsin. The group's guitarist, Bill Hudson, has issued the following statement regarding the matter:

"Unfortunately due to some last minute unpleasent circumstances CELLADOR was unable to perform at the Madpower festival on Oct. 21, where it was supposed to headline.

"On Friday afternoon, one day before the show, CELLADOR drummer David Dahir was involved in a car accident in which the driver of the vehicle lost control and collided with a lightpole. The vehicle struck the pole on the passenger side which happened to be the side where Dave was sitting. Thankfully there was no serious injury involved but Dave was bruised up and is having some muscle pains in his neck and shoulders. Further his doctor has advised him not to attempt to play drums until he can be properly examined and treated, thus we were forced to cancel the show.

"We apologize to all those involved with Madpower festival as well as our friends in Wisconsin for our unexpected absence. We look forward to visiting the area soon to make up for this cancellation."

CELLADOR's "Enter Deception" album was released in June via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Mana Studios in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL).
